Peru-Bolivia

Two years ago I visited Peru-Bolivia, it was a strange but beautiful experience, I flew from Santiago to Arica and from there we crossed to Tacna. I went with friends and my ex-boyfriend (iuuuuugh hahaha) and if it wasn't for the great company the bad experiences would have been really really really bad, although the scenery was beautiful and many people were kind, there were cases in which they tried to swindle us out of money or stole things from us by breaking into our room hostel.

It wasn't all bad, obviously, but it was something I never expected and it scared me a lot, since it was the first time I was leaving my country. The best thing about this place is definitely its culture and landscape, it is really magical, everything is so well taken care of and they make the most of their native culture (we should learn from that).

In peru we went to many places, from Tacna, Arequipa, Cusco, Macchu Picchu, Puno and then we went to Bolivia, ew saw handicrafts, walked around the Plaza de Arma, took pictures, ate delicious food, but most of all WALKED A LOT.

In bolivia we went to copa-cabana (from Bolivia, keep dreaming), to Titicaca which is beautiful, and to the uyuni salt flat which is out of this world. We had an excellent time but they also wanted to rip us off, they told us rude things for being Chilean (they literally told us that) and they cut off our water inside the hostel, because if they didn't have sea, we wouldn't have water. We explained to them that we were not one of "those Chileans" and that we were completely in favor of it, but they hated us anyway and did not listen to us, very sad.

I would still recommend going to these two countries, I strongly believe that it is necessary to change the relations with our neighbors and brothers and that it is necessary to make them understand that we are not all the same, that they have our support and that we are all one at the end of the day.
